About KC
KC is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Arkansas. KC has spent most of their career working with athletes and college-age adults, many of whom identify as LGBTQ+, Queer, Black, or a Person of Color. KC’s clinical approach can be described as radical and trauma-informed to create a therapeutic environment free of racism, homo/transphobia, misogyny, and anti-Blackness.
For over 10 years, KC has provided clinical services to adolescents (13-17) and adults (18+) with varying demographics and presenting concerns. As a former collegiate athlete, KC has learned the importance of identity exploration and development outside of that title and aids athletes of all levels in their own journeys.
Additionally, they have extensive experience providing professional consultation to other clinicians and has led or co-led a number of presentations and workshops for clinicians, educators, and organizational staff to increase best practices as it pertains to communities of color and queer/gender-expansive populations.

At the moment, I am only accepting self/private pay or out-of-pocket. I recognize this is a major barrier to many who are seeking therapy. If you do have insurance, I am able to check your out-of-network benefits and give you an idea of how much you can expect to pay out-of-pocket and be reimbursed as quickly as possible.
I am in the process of credentialing with a few insurance companies and will update website as soon as I am able to accept insurance.
I do offer a few sliding scale options. Please do not hesitate to reach out so that we can discuss your options.

For clinical sessions (therapy), I typically meet with individuals or couples 18 years or older. For anyone seeking sport performance only, I can meet with adolescents as young as 13 years old.
I am open to meeting with a potential therapy client as young as 14 only after an initial consultation with minor AND parents/guardians to discuss needs and determine if I am the best fit for them.

Currently, I am only available via telehealth. I find this to be very accessible for most people as you only need a phone, laptop, or tablet with browser capability. We are able to meet in the comfort of your own space and on your own time without the added stress of parking and traffic.

Of course!! I am intentional about creating a space with Queer/LGBTQ+/BIPOC needs and experiences at the forefront but I am able to provide counseling services to any and all demographics.
If you’re still unsure if I’m the right fit for you, please feel free to set up a free 20-minute consultation to discuss your specific needs!
